I made it. I almost gave some guy a heart attack when I ran past him, yes ran, but I made it in time.

I cannot believe this! They replaced the classy Shipmates show with the trashy 5th Wheel. My daytime life is ruined, ruined I tell you. What's more, where am I going to get my fix of this guy?

He is the
cutest.

The fighting continued in the war between shoes and the ground.
Resting during a lull in the fighting at the frontlines.
A spokesman said that this war cannot continue as "Shoes like these are mere shadows of the shoes they had once been. No one deserves to go through what they have gone through." It does not seem likely, however, that a solution will be found.
As pacifist, I personally refuse to participate in this war, and have spent the day sitting in front of the TV.

Not really.
This is actually a friend of his.
He conned me into this.
I don't like him.

I am afraid that I was rude last night. I was introduced to someone who, when hearing that I go to Bard, said she was from Red Hook.
"Oh," I said and rolled my eyes for the benefit of the people I was with, "...awesome. We really don't like townies."
And the fragile peace accords between Bard and Red Hook are undone.
My excuse is that I was on my fourth alcoholic drink of the night. And we all know how I get when I drink.

Last night I saw
"The Devil, Probably" at a movie theater, introduced by Richard Hell. Richard was looking like an aging hipster, with Bono-type glasses and a shirt opened a button too low. He was still funny and described himself as a Bressonian punk, whereas Johnny Rotten was a Jerry Lewis punk and the Ramones were Disney punk. Zing, Richard 1 - Ramones 0. Although Richard does not talk about the 70s anymore, because, he says, he doesn't have anything left to say about them, he mentioned working at a film bookstore with Tom Verlaine, Bob Quine, and some others. I remember thinking about what I wouldn't give to have been there. And how much music we wouldn't have had today if that bookstore had caught fire with them inside.
I think that the next week's posts will be rather minimal because I don't feel like writing much, or even spending any more time at home than I have to. Unless, of course, I decide to post about all the theory I've been reading. I think I am going to be looking at this book now
"The Accursed Share: Part 1", and then its follow up
"The Accursed Share: Part 2 and 3". Or maybe this book
"Contingency, Hegemony, Universality". So many options...
If Adam reads this, or anyone else, I'd be more than happy to strike up another conversation about theory.
