i am doing this because of ben's silly yo la tengo challenge. because i can't let a challenge go by without taking it on (1) and because i feel like this will give a whole new, more productive, meaning to my summer which up to now has been the kind of summer you're only supposed to have in middle school (2). before any responsibilities. a blog will of course make up for all of this. and since i am also planning on publishing it eventually, it will solve all my money problems as well. (3)

1 - a complete lie. most challenges in my life have gone completely ignored.
2 - basically every summer i've had. and if i have another one like this, i will probably be without a place to live. reading this legally obligates you to let me live in your house.
3 - as some of you might know, money problems are not my biggest concern. for example, they never get in the way of dining on sushi.
